Books From The Backlog-Hudson Valley Zombie Apocalypse

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf.  You might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. Go to Carole's blog and add your blog post link in to join in the fun! Hosted by Carole at https://carolesrandomlife.blogspot.co.uk/

This seems like a fun feature and I have been planning to take part since Carole launched this so at last, here we go! I have a TON of unread books to choose from in various genres and I'm looking forward to sharing some of them with everybody.

It's 2012, the year the world is supposed to end, but no one expected this. An infection spreads through New York's Hudson Valley. The government tells us it is just the flu, but people are turning into crazed killers. Can it be stopped? Follow the story from the first days of infection, to the last days of civilization, as told by Dr. Rebecca Truesdale, aka, "Becks." Becks is smart and tough, and while she searches for a cure in the lab, she has to fight for her life in the streets.

I read a short story by this author about the zombie apocalypse where shoppers at a Black Friday style sale are attacked. I enjoyed it and decided to grab the two novels in the same series which look fun. We all need more zombies in our lives! I added this to my shelves in 2015.

  2. I like the sound of this one, Chuckles! I actually read a zombie short story last night because I was in the mood for this kind of read. I will have to take a closer look at this story. I hope you enjoy this one when you do get the chance to read it.

    1. I'm always keen to try a new zombie series! I haven't actually read many zombie books this year so I need to put that right.

  3. A year ago I would have said no, but over this past year I have added zombies to my life. This sounds good. I hope you enjoy it as much as the first one. :)

  4. Now THAT's a cover! I hope you love it and I need to look up the other one because that's ANOTHER reason not to shop on Black Friday!

    1. It's a pretty good reason isn't it! The crowds are bad enough without the zombies looking for bargain snacks!

  5. Can you imagine seeing one of those 'zombies' in your city? If the flu can do that, who knew? lol It could help knocking their head off if you have aggression tendencies though. I love The Walking Dead

    1. I think I imagine it too much! My dad bought one of those blig saws for chopping off tree branches and my first thought was it was a good weapon for the zombie apocalypse! I get twitchy when I hear of a flu pandemic starting...I read too many of these books I think! Still need to catch up with the Walking Dead. I stopped at the end of season three.

  7. I haven't read many Zombie books, I do remember Feed by Mira Grant and enjoyed it. Maybe one day I'll continue with the series. This books sounds like it could be interesting, hopefully she will uncover what the government is hiding about the Zombies. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read it.
