Books From The Backlog-Breakdown

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf.  You might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. Go to Carole's blog and add your blog post link in to join in the fun! Hosted by Carole at https://carolesrandomlife.blogspot.co.uk/

This seems like a fun feature and I have been planning to take part since Carole launched this so at last, here we go! I have a TON of unread books to choose from in various genres and I'm looking forward to sharing some of them with everybody.

Jake Shepherd is piloting a flight to Seattle when out of the blue, his aircraft falls from the sky. The power-grid across the United States crashes, leaving all computerized machines crippled, sending the country into a disastrous tailspin.

Alice Shepherd is working the emergency room when hundreds of injured people pour in needing help. With no electricity, resources are limited--Once the back up generators fail, the hospital will not be able to handle the influx of patients being brought in, guaranteeing that all hell will break loose.

Everyone is speculating and panicking. No one knows what really happened. The only thing everyone can agree on is their simple, convenient, technological world is gone. Everyone is left to fight--Kill or be killed. Survive or die.

I've read other work by the author which I liked and I can never resist a book about EMPs! The cover is great, the blurb sounds interesting and I look forward to reading it! It has been on my TBR since September 2017.

  3. Not even two years on the TBR - that's not too bad. Seeing that city on the cover under siege is frightening. I hope you enjoy this, when you finally get to it.

    1. I'm still trying to find all the books from 2010-2012 that I need to deal with but it is slow going! I also have a ton of books from the last 5 years to read! I hope this one turns out to be good though.
