If there is one thing that makes a great book even better, it is when it has a cover that we love! The cover design is what catches the eye as we browse through a bookstore shelf or check out the Amazon or Goodreads recommendations. The right cover makes me look closer at a book, to read the blurb and maybe make a purchase. A poor cover might mean I never look at the blurb at all.
This week I'm featuring a new Indie apocalypse series that I bought last week. I liked the sound of the books and loved the covers! I just HAD to get all of them!
Great covers, indeed! And a genre we love:) I wonder why characters are facing away from us. I noticed this is a new thing this year.
ReplyDeleteYeah I've noticed a lot of the facing away covers in apocalypse novels recently. It seems to work well in this set of covers. I love the scenic look around the characters.
DeleteI look at everything around the focal point with covers and while watching movies. There's usually something going on there. These are great covers.
DeleteI bet you notice details others wouldn't see. Might be useful in the apocalypse!

DeleteI like that that all the books in the series follow the same layout - a view of the scenery as seen from behind the people on the cover...and of course, they have all got to be armed to the teeth!

I like that the covers are all themed like that and they give you an idea of the beauty and isolation of the situation. Love them! I think if I lived in the US I would get training on guns and how to handle them and have a few ready for the apocalypse!
DeleteI really like the one with the horse and of course, the one with the snow. I love how they are all pretty consistent. Great choice to showcase.
ReplyDeleteThe snow always makes for a great apocalypse cover! When I saw these books I had to grab the lot which really destroyed my book budget!
Deletemy favorite is the one with the snow. Nothing more apocalyptic that cold weather :)

DeleteI like book 4 and book 6- must be something about the snow! I like #s 1 and 7 though also. Pretty good set of covers.
