Guess what? I wake up this morning, realising that things look a bit too bright for this time of the morning and yes, the snow is bloody back, leaving the whole street white again. It's been on for several hours now and I'm in a bit of a foul mood with it. It's about 4 inches deep at the moment. So it was out to salt the path AGAIN to leave the path clear in case the other deliveries can get through today...that has left me coughing and wheezing to cheer me up! It doesn't look like we'll be able to get the car on the road today so we have to hope the snow thaws quickly to let us get out again in the next few days as neither my dad or I are fit to walk there.
GREAT!!!
On the bright side, I finally found my reading mojo last night and got my teeth into a couple of books. I'm off now to get two new pots of soup on the go and catch up on some comments and blog visiting.
May the sun be with you...!
Sounds like the snow needs to just bug off and leave you alone. It's bad enough when you expect it but to sneak up on you again just isn't fair. Hope you guys are able to head out soon and get what you couldn't yesterday. On the plus side though, at least you were able to read again!
ReplyDeleteI want to go out and kick it's butt! I want to get food from my favourite takeaway and a few of my favourite things from the supermarket!!! OK I shouldn't complain, I do have the essentials in but not enough treats...I am pleased that I got reading last night. I'm starting The Haunted Forest Tour next and I love the cover...
DeleteYay! Hope you love it.
DeleteI very much enjoyed it! Lots more creatures than I expected!
DeleteSorry about the snow. At least you got your reading mojo back! Snow is a great excuse to stay inside and read all day.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
The snow is depressing when you want to go out! Still, I have a nice warm house so I shouldn't whine really. I'm so relieved to be reading again. I hope it continues with my new books tonight!
DeleteWe're getting another foot tomorrow! I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteUgh, why can't it all just go away? I see parts of England are getting it today but thankfully we're thawing out again.
DeleteI'm with you! I had to clear 10 inches of snow off my car on Sunday, which pretty much sucked. I'm so ready for spring to come.
ReplyDeleteIt all feels exciting the first day when you see it if you don't go out. A week later the novelty certainly wears off! The shops are starting to get deliveries in so I got more crisps and chocolate and my favourite foods in in case it returns! I'm looking forward to spring this year I must admit!
DeleteI hope all of your snow melts away soon. It is terrible when the weather messes up your plans. Yay for reading on snowy days!
ReplyDeleteMost of it is gone today and I was hoping that would be it but now there is a Pest From The West that better stay away from me!
DeleteSheesh. Winter is sure giving you troubles. Did you microwave slippers get there yet?
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, they're great! About 40 minutes of decent heat before you stick them back in. You can't walk on them but great for being on a chair or at the computer or lying on your bed! They'll be on my weekend post this week!
DeleteUgh, we're supposed to get some more of that white stuff here again as well tonight. "Spring is around the corner" my butt, there's always one last snow storm in March! :P

I think we've seen enough of this snow for one winter. I feel the cold a bit worse this year so spring can get here as soon as possible...
DeleteHopefully it melts soon! Go away frickin snow!! We got dumped on too... hope you're staying warm and Amazon gets through!!!
ReplyDeleteIt has certainly lost the fun factor that's for sure. I'm glad it is almost gone now.
