Welcome to my UK General Election 2017 posts where I'll be taking a lighthearted look at the funny, entertaining and embarrassing side of the campaigning so far. I won't be lecturing or spouting political views of my own or telling people how to vote, just having some fun with politics and poking a bit of fun at all the parties involved!
However he has plenty on his mind as one of the candidates standing against him is a man in a fish finger costume...(no, I'm not joking!)
Oh dear, it has been a trying time for UKIP recently! Paul Nuttall announced that one of the policies his party is promoting is to ban the burqa and niqab, which has caused fury amongst muslim women and anti-racist protesters. As the story came out, one of the phrases used was 'full face covering' or similar and led to a riot of a news conference where journalists questioned whether this would be applied also to beekeepers and nuns, which a UKIP spokesman got a bit irate about! I'm more worried about Mickey Mouse if he is planning a visit to the UK! Only in Britain...!
