Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about
sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical
or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store
or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books,
gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.
Please note that I always leave a
message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use
DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. And
sometimes,
I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by
Wordpress so you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me!
This has been quite a productive week. I've launched my new reading challenge-to get over 100 books off the tbr by the end of the year-or as near as possible anyway! I'm off to a decent start with 8 completed novellas/short stories and 3 or 4 abandoned books. Nice! I'll be posting updates about my progress on a blog post after the weekend. So things are good on the reading front PLUS I've showed suitable restraint in book buying so it's another small haul for me this week. If I can keep this up I might hit my book targets!

Nice haul, Chuckles! Not too big this week, so you'll be able to read these pretty soon, hopefully. I have read a short story in the Iron Druids series, and I really enjoyed it. It's actually about time I got truly started with it.
ReplyDeleteWay to go on your reading challenge! And that makes it even better that you read more than you added ;)
Have a great weekend and happy reading.

I have behaved quite well for book grabbing the last two weeks...so I hope I can keep that going through the summer and let me catch up on my books! My problem is if I read 7 books in a week, I ruin it by buying 5 so I never really get caught up!
DeleteI still need to start reading Kevin Hearne's stuff... *ducks head* Hope you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo far I've only read book one so you're not far behind me! I hope to get this series and the Benedict Jacka series caught up with this summer. That's the plan anyway!
DeleteThose Coronation St books look very interesting! The novel is so long though.
ReplyDeleteIt looks big because of the page numbers but it's larger print than novel so it isn't too bad. I'd be further through it by now if I'd had time to read the last two days!
DeleteOooh, I've just started reading the Kevin Hearne books as well! I'm about to start book two so will look out for the short stories. Great haul, hope you enjoy them all :)
ReplyDeleteHere's My Haul!
I read the first one about two years ago so I'll need to read it again to refresh my memory before I continue with the series. I want to get up to date with the series this summer.
DeleteI set a reading challenge of 105 books at the beginning of the year - so far I'm 9 books ahead of schedule.
ReplyDeleteI've read 133 out of my 200 target but I needed something extra to motivate me to get my tbr reduced as much as possible. This seems like a nice tough challenge!
DeleteWow. I'm not used to you having such a small haul! Well done ;-) My haul
ReplyDeleteI hope it continues for a while! I need to be reading more than double what I'm buying to put a dent in the pile!
DeleteInteresting choices. All your books are new to me. Great haul.

A bit of a mixed bag this week!
DeleteI haven't heard of any of these but happy reading! I hope you succeed in your new challenge.

It might become manic reading as the year progresses! *grins*
Delete100 wow! Looks like you are at a good start. Best of luck :D
ReplyDeleteMy haul
I think I need all the luck I can get! It's pretty daunting but as long as I get close I'll be happy!
DeleteNice haul, Dog with a Bone sounds really good. I've heard good things about it, too. Good luck with your reading challenge. I need to try to do that. My tbr is out of control! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteMichelle @ Michelle's Minions
I've done well in the first week of the challenge but keeping it up until December is going to be darn tough! Plus every time I buy a book, I undo all that hard work!
DeleteI haven't read or heard of some of these but I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea! I'm reading both Coronation Street books at the moment as I work my way through the dvd box sets. Fun!
DeleteDog With a Bone sounds really interesting! I may have to go look that one up on Goodreads. Enjoy everything and have a lovely week!

I stumbled across this one in my Amazon recommendations...I'm finding too many interesting sounding books that way!
DeleteNice haul and good luck on your challenge. I picked up the Iron Druid book as well yesterday...just didn't haul it.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited by the challenge as it seems to have motivated me to get moving and read some books that have been lurking on my Kindle for a long time!
DeleteHi Chuckles!
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your goal! It's a fantastic idea and as my tbr list is creeping in the 600s, I might have to give it some thought too! I still can't believe how much restraint you've shown in not buying books! I'd be in a cold sweat and seriously ill by now... probably in bed sulking like I was heartbroken or something. Well done!
Have a great day,
Amy x
I've already crumbled...but it's not my fault! I read a good short story which COMPELLED me to buy the series in paperback plus last night I read a great Kindle book so I ordered the paperback this morning along with two others that I saw in my Amazon recs...*sigh* I'm hopeless!
DeleteOhh, congrats on getting a good start on your challenge!! *sprinkles confetti over you*
ReplyDeleteHope to do an update post on that maybe Monday...
DeleteI think I've only heard about the first one but I hope you'll enjoyt hem all. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Have a good weekend!
DeleteGreat reading challenge! Once I finish listing all my books I plan to do something similar next year.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look into that book by Kevin Hearne. Happy Reading!
I enjoyed the first Iron Druid book and look forward to catching up with the series this summer!
DeleteDog with a Bone looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shorter read than my usual books so I should have it read in one night. Might bump this up the reading list...
DeleteIt's nice to have a productive week like that! Good luck with your new reading challenge and I hope you'll make your goal before the end of the year!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll enjoy your new books and have a great week!
At the moment I feel motivated and the reading is going well-I'm dreading a reading slump though!
DeleteI wish you good luck with your reading challenge. You're off to a great start. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I need to do something to offset all the books I want to get!
DeleteHey! You are adding to the tbr pile as you take off. lol. That's cool! :D Glad you are getting though that challenge. :) Have a great week!
