Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!  http://www.brokeandbookish.com/

TTT is still on hiatus so here is part 2 of Urban Fantasy Series I Want To Read

1) Cate Farren-The Lucifer Pact
When Ronnie was nine she made a pact with Lucifer to bring her parents back. Lucifer wants to collect and Ronnie, now a teacher of young witches, trains for when he does. A secret group is also chasing her and threatening her family. This sounds interesting and if there is plenty action I'll be happy!

2) Domino Finn-Dead Man
Cisco the necromancer wakes up in a dumster, dead for ten years. Wanted by police, seeking answers about who killed him, dealing with nether creatures, zombie pit bulls and Haiti voodoo gangs, he will need all of his power to survive. This sounds pretty interesting and I want to see the zombie pit bulls!

3) Jessica Gunn-The Hunted
Krystin kills demons and is teamed up with three newbies to fight them. But Darkness has Ben's son and want to exchange him for Krystin as part of an ancient prophecy which will destroy all they know. I like these race against time plots as they are usually full of action and I love the cover. Bought it last week and keen to read it!

4) ZV Hunter-Calamity Rising
Yukine is a necromancer, exorcist and dark mage in Neo Tokyo, as a Calamity snatches girls and leaves angry ghosts in its wake. The more she digs into the Spirit World, the more dangers are uncovered. OK this sounds different, a new setting, asian female heroine and a gorgeous cover. Want to read this one!

5) Simone Pond-Exodus Of Magic
Jordan uses her magic to protect people from a terrorist attack and Magnus will keep her secret if she works for him. Learning about her true ancestors, she leaves the city and is pursued by Magnus, a vengeful werewolf and bloodthirsty vampire. I love the covers for this author's books and look forward to reading this.

6) Simone Pond-Sacred Light
Fiona does not want to do her duty to guards the Sacred Scrolls but when one is stolen by a demon mage who starts hunting down Protectors of Light, Fiona must find him or be forever banished while humanity is destroyed. Another great cover and an intriguing story!

7) Orlando Sanchez-Tombyards & Butterflies
Charon the Ferryman who transports souls is missing from the River Styx and the spirits stuck in this world are throwing it out of balance. An Immortal PI and legendary Mage must solve the crime. I love a touch of mythology in my UF and this just sounds really interesting and was a newish purchase.

8) Seth Skorkowski-Damoren
Matt wields Damoren, a holy revolver to kill demons. Teaming up with a group of hunters with their own ancient weapons, trusting in each other as they become the hunted. Who doesn't want to read a demon hunting book with wendigos, an international cast of characters and ancient weapons! This sounds really good and I want to make it priority!

9) Justin Sloan-Death Marked
Rohan wanted to bring his fiance back from the dead, not help a madman destroy the gates of Hell in his own quest. On the run with a Kahin Monk for help, he must find a way to stop Hell being unleashed on the world. This sounds a bit different so I'm keen to read it.

10) Justin Sloan-Hounds Of God
Katherine is raised by werewolves who are an army sent to bring justice to the evil-Hounds of God. When the leader is killed, everything Katherine believed is a lie and she sets off to find a cure to the curse. I love werewolves and I like the sound of Hounds of God and twists and lies. Hope to read this soon.
