Top Ten Tuesday Summer TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  http://www.thatartsyreadergirl.com/top-ten-tuesday/

NB: I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow them to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account.

This week I'm looking at ten books on my summer TBR. By this I mean ten that I want to buy and maybe read this summer.

1) Chris Jameson-Devil Sharks
Having loved Shark Island and loving the new book cover, I will be grabbing this new shark adventure as soon as it is on Amazon.

2) Benedict Jacka-Marked
I will be getting this one as soon as it is released as I pre-ordered it. It's book nine in the Alex Verus series which I really need to get caught up with.

3) Paul Tremblay-The Cabin At The End Of The World
This is another pre-order book that I'm looking forward to. A bit of diversity and an apocalypse sounds pretty good to me!

4) SM Wilson-The Extinction Trials: Exile
I bought this one last week and I'm hoping to get started on it this week. I loved the first book and can't wait to see what happens next!

5) Kelly Meding-Stray Magic
This sounds like an action packed urban fantasy by an author I have liked before so I'll certainly get this one when it comes out.

6) Jason Parent-They Feed
I have this one and it seems like exactly like the kind of horror that I love reading. I hope it turns out to be as good as it sounds...

7) Hunter Shea-Jurassic Florida
Not long until I get my hands on this one. Who can resist giant iguanas running around Florida!

8) Hunter Shea-Rattus New Yorkus
Big mutant rats running around New York written by an author I enjoy. This should be a fun read for later in the summer!

9) Andrew Morton-Meghan
Having read his Diana book many years ago, I'll certainly be interested in reading this. I have a copy on ebook at the moment.

10) Alison Weir-Jane Seymour
I am so looking forward to this one after enjoying Anne Boleyn. It only seems to be out in hardback at the moment which is disappointing.

  2. I hope you get a chance to read all these! I didn’t like the last Paul Tremblay book I read, but I’ve been looking at the one you listed. It’s hard for me to resist apocalypse books.

  3. I hope you love Jurassic Florida as much as I did. I can't wait to read about the rats as well. I need to read Shark Island and I already have a copy of The Feed. Still need to obtain The Extinction Trials but haven't figured out where to order it yet since it's not out for Kindle.

    1. That's weird that The Extinction Trials isn't out on Kindle. I wonder why that is? Shark Island was a great book but I've heard mixed things about Devil Sharks. I want to love it! It's exciting to be waiting for a couple of new Hunter Shea books though!

  4. I want to read Alison Weir's book on Jane Seymour this summer, too, and I'm hoping to read the rest of Jacka's Alex Verus series before the end of the year. :)

    1. Same here...I'm just annoyed at having to wait longer for paperback copies! I loved Fated but still have the rest of the series to catch up with.

  6. Yes to Stray Magic! I have a book by Paul Tremblay that I need to get busy reading before I consider adding more to my pile. The Extinction Trials sounds great and is very tempting.

  8. Recently finished Devil Sharks! I think I liked Shark Island better, but it's still great for shark action.
