Books From The Backlog-Clean

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf.  You might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. Go to Carole's blog and add your blog post link in to join in the fun! Hosted by Carole at https://carolesrandomlife.blogspot.co.uk/

This seems like a fun feature and I have been planning to take part since Carole launched this so at last, here we go! I have a TON of unread books to choose from in various genres and I'm looking forward to sharing some of them with everybody.

I used to work for the Telepath’s Guild before they kicked me out for a drug habit that wasn’t entirely my fault. Now I work for the cops, helping Homicide Detective Isabella Cherabino put killers behind bars. My ability to get inside the twisted minds of suspects makes me the best interrogator in the department. But the normals keep me on a short leash. When the Tech Wars ripped the world apart, the Guild stepped up to save it. But they had to get scary to do it—real scary. Now the cops don’t trust the telepaths, the Guild doesn’t trust me, a serial killer is stalking the city—and I’m aching for a fix. But I need to solve this case. Fast. I’ve just had a vision of the future: I’m the next to die.

I read a short story prequel which introduced the characters and I very much enjoyed it so I picked this up for my ereader. It's one of the many that I'm forever planning to get round to but never seem to manage. I put it on the ereader in May 2015.

  1. There are just too many books to get to them all.

  3. Yes, it does sound great. I have so many that I picked up after enjoying another book by the author and just never went back and read them. Hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy it soon. :)

    1. The books tend to lurk in the dark corners of the ereaders and then I forget about them...

  4. Sounds like a neat premise, I think telepathy and crime solving go well together!

  5. Thanks for joining in! I haven't heard of this one but I do like the sound of it. It sounds rather unique and I love that it seems to be a bit darker. I hope you like this one when you get the chance to dust it off :)
