Ten FREE Zombie Books to start a Series!

There is nothing as good as stumbling across a free zombie book that you can get your teeth into! This week I point out ten that you can grab TODAY plus the link to take you there. How kind is Chuckles eh? These are all books I enjoyed, some short stories, some full novels but all with different kinds of plots and zombies!  It led me to grab other books in the series which I may or may not have read yet, but I recommend giving these a go. FREE! The links I've provided are for Amazon UK so if you use a different Amazon, you have to look that up on your relevant site.

1) Keith C Blackmore-The Hospital (Mountain Man #0.5)

"Mountain Man" Augustus Berry is a survivor in undead suburbia. He scavenges what he can from what's left over. He is very careful in what he does and where he goes, taking no chances, no unnecessary risks, and weighing every choice... until he decides to visit the hospital at the edge of town, and experiences terror the likes he's never encountered before.

2) Ann Christy-The In Betweener (Between Life vand Death #1)

Two years ago a new medical nanite advance divided humanity into three types: humans, deaders and the in-betweeners who crave human flesh. Emily's world has grown quiet, mornings killing deaders at her fence and nights alone in a warehouse office. She's begun to believe life will always be this way. Everything changes when an in-betweener different from any Emily has seen before comes...and he has a message.

3) P Mark DeBryan-In for a dollar in for a dime (An Apocalypse Family #0)

This story follows Ryan Brant as he heads for a family reunion in the northwest. The family is headed for the reunion when a pandemic breaks out and the vaccine created makes things worse... much worse.

 4) Steven Jenkins-Burn the Dead (Zombie Saga #1)

It focuses on an everyday man who burns zombies for a living. His life is turned upside down when he finds his own wife infected, and his four-year old son trapped inside a quarantined area. ***Chuckles note: I LOVE this book and gave it 5 stars-make sure you grab it!***

 5) Jason Kristopher-The Dying of the Light: End (#1)

The United States military hides a secret: the completely real existence of one-bite-and-you're-dead zombies. An elite Special Forces unit has known they exist for over a hundred years, and has been quietly and expertly keeping the monsters at bay… until now. The sole survivor of the massacre at Fall Creek joins this elite unit to combat the single greatest threat our world has ever known. Even as victories over the walkers mount, true evil still lurks in the hearts of men, and at the last, only a brave few may survive.

6) HVZA Apocalypse Sale (#0.5)

The "HVZA: Hudson Valley Zombie Apocalypse" novels have created a terrifying world where a mysterious parasite has turned ordinary people into killers and cannibals. This short story begins at the onset of the infection, at the region's largest shopping mall, the Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY. Follow the lives of several people as they attend the sale, only to come face to face with their worst nightmares. Some will survive, and some will die, but no one will ever be the same.

7) AR Wise-Deadlocked (Deadlocked #1)

David was caught in the middle of the city when the zombie outbreak started. His wife and daughters were at home, stranded on the roof as zombies waited below. He would have to fight through hordes of undead, merciless other survivors, and a series of death defying stunts to get home. However, even if he makes it there, how can he be sure they're safe?

8) Saul Tanpepper-Gameland

Everyone loves Survivalist, a live-action, virtual reality show based on Arc Entertainment's The Game, where cybernetically controlled zombies do battle in a video arcade in the middle of a Long Island wasteland. It's to die for. If you're rich enough, you can buy your way in. If you're desperate enough, you can volunteer to become one of the Undead Players. Jessie Daniels and her gang of computer hackers plan to break their way in.

Welcome to GAMELAND. Access Restricted.

9) TW Piperbrook-Contamination (#0-3)

ABOUT CONTAMINATION: The infection has begun, ravaging the American Southwest and leaving a chaos in its wake. In this new world, there will be no last meal, no dying wish. The only reward left is to survive another day...

Gah! One went up to 99p as I worked on this so I need to hunt for another! Couldn't find another great start of series one but here is a good anthology to make up the numbers!

10) Steven Jenkins-Rotten Bodies

We all fear death’s dark spectre, but in a zombie apocalypse, dying is a privilege reserved for the lucky few. There are worse things than a bullet to the brain—much worse.

The dead are walking, and they’re hungry. Steven Jenkins, bestselling author of Fourteen Days and Burn The Dead, shares six zombie tales that are rotten for all the right reasons.

  1. I just went and grabbed Burned the Dead. A lot of them sound really interesting. I know if you give a book high recommendations, I will probably enjoy it.

    1. Ooh great! I love Burn the Dead! I already have books 2 and 3 ready to read which I hope are as good. I very much like this author. Hope you like it!

  2. I listed to the first and enjoyed it so much that I bought the next book in the series. I picked up Burn the Dead and The In-Betweener from your list. Great post!
